Every year shifts what customers wear, and 2024 is no exception. Based on Holycome order data across 300-plus buyers in 50-plus countries, here are the trends that moved fastest this year.
1. Quiet luxury and minimal gold
Thin gold chains, plain signet rings, tiny studs and bar pendants are still the backbone of daily wear. Customers are moving away from loud logo pieces toward small, premium-looking basics they can layer. These pieces sell year-round and reorder every month.
2. Y2K and nostalgic hoops
Large gold hoops, butterfly charms and colorful enamel rings are back, driven by social media. Hoop earrings remain the single fastest-moving earring category, especially in size-mixed bags for accessory walls.
3. Hair accessories as a statement category
Acrylic claw clips, pearl hairbands and mixed metal barrettes outpaced many jewelry categories this year. Amazon and drugstore buyers are restocking hair accessories every 30 days. It is one of the highest-turnover segments we supply.
4. Bridal and event jewelry stays strong
Weddings, proms and party seasons drive demand for rhinestone tennis bracelets, chandelier earrings and 3-piece bridal sets. These have higher unit price ($2.5 to $5.5) but strong margin.
5. Mixed-lot buying for small resellers
New buyers increasingly prefer ready-mixed lots of 500 or 1,000 pieces across categories rather than choosing each SKU themselves. This lowers their risk and speeds up time-to-shelf. Holycome mixed lots are now 30 percent of orders.
What this means for your buying plan
Allocate roughly 40 percent of your budget to everyday basics (studs, thin chains, plain rings), 25 percent to hair accessories and hoops, 20 percent to bridal and event pieces, and 15 percent to experimental trends. Reorder the winners, drop the rest.
Trends come and go, but factory-direct pricing and fast restock keep you profitable whatever customers are wearing next season.
